CAPE ELIZABETH — All applications for boat storage on Cape Elizabeth’s Great Pond are due by March. 11.

The application process began in early February. The Conservation Committee boat storage slots will be assigned using a lottery system. Town residents that would like to store boats at Great Pond should submit an online application or mail a printable application to Town Hall ACP Manager Aniki Varadi.
Residents that received a permit for the 2021 season and did not store their boats will only be eligible for a boat slot if supply exceeds demands.
Only one application may be submitted per household. The lottery will be held March 14 at 9 a.m. in the ACP Office Conference Room at town hall. There will be 32 applications drawn and winners will be notified and will have until March 25 to mail in the $20 payment.
The remaining permits after that date will be distributed in a second lottery drawing. Permit holders can start storing boats on the first Saturday in March.
