BIDDEFORD — Richard Schoorens, 91, of Hills Beach, Biddeford, Maine, passed away peacefully on Febr. 27, 2022.
He and his wife of 66 years Shirley (Whynot) moved to “the beach” in 1992, after living and raising their family in Bedford, Massachusetts.
Richard is survived by: his wife Shirley; their children, David and Cathy Schoorens of Portsmouth, Rhode Island and their children, Gregory and Angel Schoorens (CT) and their children, Jessie, Atticus, and Evangeline; Christopher Schoorens (CA) and Kelly Schoorens (NH).

As well as, Susan and Robert Billbrough and their children, Samuel and Bridget Billbrough; Hannah Billbrough and Matthew Billbrough, all of Havertown, Pennsylvania.
Richard is preceded in death by his son Steven Schoorens.
Richard lived a good and happy life!
He was an avid reader, and his family is asking that you consider making a charitable donation to the McArthur Public Library, 270 Main St., Biddeford, Maine 04005.
Services will be held at a future time.
The Hope Memorial Chapel is respectfully handling Mr. Schoorens’ arrangements.
