GORHAM – Paul F. Nanos, 62, who resided with his sister in Gorham, passed away on Feb. 21, 2022, at Maine Medical Center in Portland after a long illness.
He was born on May 30, 1959, the son of Frank J. Nanos and Jane (Hodgdon) Nanos. He attended Portland schools and Deering High School as well as Portland Regional Vocational School, now the community college.
He was employed with Ryder as a truck mechanic for about 25 years and later worked for Blow Bros. and Gorham Trucking. Paul enjoyed Nascar racing, building models and spending time with his family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents; and a sister, Cheryl A. Nanos.
He is survived by his sister, Pamela J. Barrows of Gorham; his son, David P. Nanos of Portland, stepdaughters Carrie Waller of Seabrook, N.H., and Crystal Prescott of Lewiston; as well as a niece, Rebecca Barrows; great-niece, Madison; and many friends.
At Paul’s request there will be no services. A gathering at a later date for family and friends will be announced.
