
Holy Cross School in South Portland announced Wednesday that Timothy Stebbins has been appointed the school’s new principal.
Stebbins will succeed Cindy Elwood, who is retiring, and will start work July 1.
Currently the assistant director at Biddeford Regional Center of Technology, Stebbins has nearly 40 years of experience as a teacher and school administrator. He served as a social studies teacher at Biddeford High School from 1986 to 2009 and was an assistant principal at Bonny Eagle High School 2009 to 2012 and at Westbrook High School from 2012 to 2014.
Stebbins also has coached varsity football, basketball and tennis, was the YMCA sports director of Northern York County, and is currently a member of the Recreation Commission in Biddeford.
