WATERBORO — Emily Jacobs finished with 11 points and sank tying and go-ahead free throws in the final minute, lifting Massabesic to a 45-44 win over Scarborough in a Class AA South girls’ basketball game Thursday night.
Micaela Jacobs led Massabesic (12-4) with 12 points. Mary Duffy added 10.
Lindsay Fiorillo scored 16 points for Scarborough (11-4).
WINDHAM 48, LEWISTON 26: Sarah Talon led the Eagles (11-5) with 18 points in a win over the Blue Devils (7-9) at Windham.
Kayla Flanders chipped in with 12 points on four 3-pointers.
Natalie Beaudoin led the Blue Devils with nine points.
BONNY EAGLE 44, SANFORD 43: Ember Hastings scored 14 points to lead the Scots (6-9) past the Spartans (4-11) in Sanford.
Madelyn Violette added nine points.
Jaylyn Bartolome led Sanford with 13 points. Riley Hebler had 12.
WESTBROOK 50, KENNEBUNK 30: The Blue Blazes (4-11) held the Rams (0-11) to one point in the second quarter on the way to a win at Westbrook.
Kylie Young scored 12 points for Westbrook, which led 23-8 at halftime after outscoring Kennebunk 13-1 in the second quarter. Taylor Hodge finished with nine points.
Skyler Holder and Ruby Sliwkowski each had seven points for Kennebunk.
SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 44, SACOPEE VALLEY 33: Ellie Leach and Breckyn Winship each scored 12 points and Kaitlyn Jandreau added 10, helping the Guardians (7-5) beat the Hawks (1-13) in Eliot.
Sacopee’s Brooke Landry finished with 19 points.
NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 55, TRAIP ACADEMY 42: Graca Bila had 18 points and six rebounds, and Angel Huntsman posted 15 points, six rebounds and seven assists as the Panthers (12-1) downed the Rangers (9-7) in Yarmouth.
Sarah English tallied eight points and eight rebounds for NYA.
Emme Hale led Traip with 17 points. Hannah Thorsen scored 13.
FALMOUTH 49, BIDDEFORD 30: Emily Abbott buried seven 3-pointers for 21 points, and the Navigators (10-5) held the Tigers (6-10) to four first-half points as they cruised to a win in Falmouth.
Anna Turgeon tallied 13 points for Falmouth, which led 30-4 at halftime.
Biddeford’s Hannah Lappin scored eight points.
BRUNSWICK 63, MARSHWOOD 36: Logan Brown paced the Dragons (14-0) with 13 points as they defeated the Hawks (6-8) in Brunswick.
Lexi Morin followed with 12 points.
Sarah Theriault led Marshwood with 11 points.
BOYS’ BASKETBALL
FALMOUTH 76, BIDDEFORD 56: Jack Stowell scored 21 points as Brady Coyne and Zach Morrill each put in 19 to lead the Navigators (12-2) over the Tigers (3-12) in Biddeford.
Julius Silva paced Biddeford with 21 points. Jacob Landry added 18.
MASSABESIC 65, SCARBOROUGH 59: James Saccuzzo hit five 3-pointers and finished with 20 points for the Mustangs (6-8) in a win against the Red Storm (1-13) at Scarborough.
Jake Raymond added 17 points and Isaiah Searles had 11.
Rowan MacDonald led Scarborough with 19 points. Liam Garriepy notched 13 points, while Reid Deniso scored 11.
MARSHWOOD 72, BRUNSWICK 50: Aidan Sullivan and Andrew Perry combined for 29 points in the first half, leading the Hawks (10-5) past the Dragons (3-11) in South Waterboro.
Sullivan sank four 3-pointers before halftime as Marshwood built a 45-24 advantage. He finished with 19 points, Perry had 17 and Cooper Aiguier chipped in with 12.
Ethan Driscoll scored 12 points and Thomas Harvey had 11 for Brunswick.
SACOPEE VALLEY 45, SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 27: Grady Cummings scored 13 points and Carson Black had nine for the Hawks (3-11) in a win over the Guardians (3-10) at Eliot.
Seacoast got six points apiece from Isaiah Cardinal, Seth Vega and Sunny Johnson. Johnson also grabbed 10 rebounds.
MEDOMAK VALLEY 66, WINSLOW 40: Trevor Brown poured in 27 points as the Panthers (13-3) topped the Black Raiders (11-4) in Waldoboro.
Patrick McKenney had 10 points and eight assists for Medomak Valley. Jacob Craig scored 11 points, and Jaiden Starr finished with eight points and five steals.
Winslow was led by Jason Reynolds with 14 points. Nicholas Girard scored 12.
FOREST HILLS 75, PINE TREE ACADEMY 39: Mason Desjardins scored 31 points and had seven assists to lead the Tigers (16-0) to a win over the Breakers (5-9) in Jackman.
Desjardins is closing in on 1,000 career points, sitting at 997 after Thursday’s game.
Jackman Daigle added 16 points and eight steals, while Blaine Nadeau scored 10 points.
Silas Yeaton led Pine Tree with 13 points. Benjamin Ndamukuna had 12.
KENNEBUNK 91, MT. ARARAT 55: The Rams (9-5) were led by Connor Keefe with 21 points as they defeated the Eagles (1-15) in Kennebunk.
Keegan Andrews added 14 points and Joseph Kiezulas had 12.
Ryan Robertson paced Mt. Ararat with 14 points, Ty Henke scored 11 and Andrew Clemons put in 10.
NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 66, TRAIP ACADEMY 63: Logan Welch made a 3-pointer with six seconds remaining to give the Panthers (8-6) a win over the Rangers (6-10) in Kittery.
Elliott Oney led NYA with 14 points. Moses Semuhoza scored 13, and Welch and Joaquim Bila each had 12.
Traip’s Omar Dovesi scored 26 points. Dylan Santamaria added 14 and Zac Foye had 11.
GIRLS’ HOCKEY
CHEVERUS 5, ST. DOM’S 1: Cheverus/Old Orchard Beach/Kennebunk/Windham (9-3-1) scored three goals in the first period and cruised past St. Dominic/Winthrop/Gray-New Gloucester/Monmouth (5-8) at Troubh Ice Arena in Portland.
Brynne McKenney, Olivia Bradford, Elle Cooney, Charlotte Miller and Lucy Johnson each netted a goal for Cheverus. Gabrielle Allen scored for St. Dom’s.
GORHAM 5, PORTLAND/DEERING 3: Cadence Howard netted a hat trick to power Gorham/Bonny Eagle/Massabesic/Westbrook/Fryeburg past Portland/Deering at Troubh Ice Arena in Portland.
Howard assisted on Katelyn Cyr and Emerson Homa’s goals. Sadie Dyer tallied 13 saves for Gorham.
Jane Flynn scored twice for Portland/Deering and CeCe Blackwell-Moore had one goal. Caitlyn Huynh turned away 31 shots.
BOYS’ HOCKEY
GREELY 5, LEWISTON 4: Landon Werner notched a hat trick and Evan Dutil scored the go-ahead goal late in the second period as the Rangers (8-2) beat the Blue Devils (5-6) in Falmouth.
Sean Allen’s first career goal, which came midway through the third period, turned out to be the winner after Ethan Blue scored with 2:18 remaining for Lewiston.
The Blue Devils also got goals from Dylan Blue, Cody Dionne and Colton Daniels.
