FAIRFIELD — A Norridgewock man died Wednesday afternoon in Fairfield after his pickup truck veered off Norridgewock Road and rolled over, police said Thursday.
Officers reportedly found Robert S. Camera, 55, trapped inside the badly damaged truck when they responded at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday to the crash in the area of Pung Hill.
Rescue workers from the Fairfield and Benton Fire-Rescue Department and Waterville Fire Department removed Camera from the vehicle. A team from Delta Ambulance then administered medical care.
Camera’s injuries were severe and he died at the scene, police said.
The crash remained under investigation Thursday, according to police, who said it was not clear why the pickup truck had left the road.
Officers said they did not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash, and asked that any witnesses contact Fairfield police Officer Casey Dugas at 207-453-9321.
