Thomas E. Green

SCARBOROUGH – Thomas E. Green, 68, died Monday Jan. 17, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with lung disease.

Born on Nov. 27, 1953, in Boston, to Thomas P. Green and Caberia A. Green (Arioli) (predeceased).

He moved to Portland where he attended Chevrus High School and graduated in 1971. He then graduated from SMCC with an associates degree in Automotive Technology. He worked at Chaplin Cadillac for many years becoming the service manager at the BMW dealership in Falmouth. In 1990 he opened his own shop, Tom Green Automotive, where he worked till his death.

Tom loved his family, cars, his many customers/friends, his frequent garage club members and discussions, reading and listening to NPR.

Tom was predeceased by his sister, Christine.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Diane Green; son, Thomas M. Green of Hawaii, daughter, Jennifer Green, daughter, Mary Green and fiancé Philip Norton; niece, Christine Horton and her husband Tom and their children Zoe and Emma.

There are no services at this time but there will be a Celebration of Life gathering planned for June.
