Singer-songwriter Toby McAllister is still basking in the afterglow of two sold-out reunion shows at Aura last week with his pop-punk band Sparks the Rescue. Meanwhile, he’s spent the last several months working on the solo EP “Daydreamin,’ ” which gets released next week.

The first single, “Face the Days,” was released yesterday with a video, and it’s a positivity-packed foot stomper about getting to the other side of the hard stuff in life. The video, directed by Jedidiah and Elijah Allen, features a gorilla, aliens and a UFO, along with gorgeous Maine scenery.
