FARMINGTON — Catriona Gould had two goals and an assist as the University of Southern Maine women’s soccer team beat the University of Maine at Farmington, 3-1, on Friday.
Ciera Berthiaume also scored the Huskies (2-0), who have outscored their opponents 8-1 to start the season.
Audrey Fletcher scored for UMF (0-1).
FIELD HOCKEY
HARVARD 2, MAINE 1: Hannah Pearce scored her second goal of the game as the Crimson (1-0) beat the Black Bears (0-3) in overtime in Orono.
Pearce gave Harvard a 1-0 lead 3:21 into the third quarter, and Poppy Lambert tied it for UMaine just two minutes later.
MENS’ SOCCER
ST. JOSEPH’S 1, ENDICOTT 1: Quinn Hewitt scored early in the second half as St. Joseph’s (0-0-1) played to a 1-1 tie with Endicott College (0-0-1) in Beverly, Massachusetts.
Ryan Archer scored to tie it for Endicott.
David Walbridge stopped six shots for St. Joseph’s.
