The Telling Room literary arts education organization has announced the departure of Executive Director Celine Kuhn in September.
“After five years of joy as The Telling Room’s executive director, I have come to the decision that it is time to step aside to spend time with my family and invite in a new leader for the organization in the fall of 2021,” Kuhn said. “Being the executive director of The Telling Room has truly been the best professional experience of my life.”
A search is underway for Kuhn’s replacement.
Wild Seed Project’s board of directors is pleased to announce Andrea Berry as the organization’s new executive director. Berry brings more than 15 years of nonprofit experience in fundraising, program management and community building.

In her most recent role, Berry served as director of community engagement at Maine Initiatives, orchestrating community events, managing communications and serving as the program officer for the Grants for Change Fund and the Community Care Fund.
New berth
Carter and Molly White announced their businesses, Quantum Sails Downeast and You Regatta, have jumped moorings and sailed into a new location at 400 Route 1, Unit 3, South Falmouth.
Molly White coached and directed sailing at the Portland Yacht Club before running the day-to-day operations of You Regatta. Expanding on his knowledge of sailing and sailmaking, Carter White jumped on board with Quantum Sail as the sailmaker’s first local Maine loft, called Quantum Sails Downeast, in 2019.
Hires, promotions, appointments

Clark Insurance promoted the following to senior vice president: Deb Wentworth, who now manages the account management teams for Business Insurance and Employee Benefits; Gregg Ritter, now leading the Maine Business Insurance Sales Team; Bret Cote, manager of the New Hampshire office as well as the sales team; and Mona Freeman Wilkinson, overseer of the Personal Insurance Department’s Sales & Services.
RE/MAX Shoreline recently welcomed Pam Sweret to its Portland office.
Waynflete announced that Katherine Armstrong ’04, Justin Schair ’01, Elonide Semmes and Khalilah Ummah ’04 have joined the school’s Board of Trustees.
The school also announced board officer appointments for 2021-22: Catherine Cloudman (president, first year of three-year term); Tim Soley (vice president); Jeff Troiano (treasurer); Betsy Langer (secretary); and Christopher Smith (member-at-large).
Recognition

Chambers USA has selected Berman & Simmons attorneys Jodi Nofsinger and Susan Faunce for their outstanding legal service. Both are recognized as distinguished lawyers in the category “Litigation: Medical Malpractice & Insurance – Maine.”
Medical assistant programs at Maine’s community colleges hold seven of the top 10 rankings for Best Medical Assistant Schools in Maine in 2021, according to new data released by findmedicalassistantprograms.org, including Southern Maine Community College, ranked No. 3.
Bangor Savings Bank has been ranked the second-best bank in the United States by Forbes in its annual “World’s Best Banks” list. This is the third consecutive year Maine’s biggest bank has been recognized by Forbes, jumping seven spots from last year.
