Ryan Lee Grattelo
BIDDEFORD – Ryan Lee Grattelo, 37, of Biddeford, passed away peacefully at Maine Medical Center on Saturday, May 29, 2021, surrounded by his family and friends after a courageous battle with addiction.
Ryan graduated from Biddeford High School in 2002 where he enjoyed soccer and photography. He also loved to fish and was recently interested in taking up hunting. Ryan was a hard worker and spent years working at his father’s business, Joker’s, and Harnois Painting.
Ryan was involved in the Group Recovery of Biddeford to help battle his addiction; here he was able to help himself and others who continue this battle. His smile was infectious and was felt by all who knew him. As time passed, he finally realized he missed out on raising his first daughter, Taylor. He was sorry for this, and truly made up for it with his second daughter Piper. Piper was the light of his life.
Ryan is survived by his daughters Piper and her mother, Samantha Cofone; and Taylor and her mother, Rachael Delcourt; his mother and father, Stephanie (Mark) Beaulieu and James (Michelle) Grattelo; four siblings, Trisha (Sean) Smith of Biddeford, Jamie (Kim) Grattelo of Florida, Jordan (Moie) Beaulieu of Wells, and Brandon (Amanda) Beaulieu of Biddeford; his grandfather, Guy Peloquin of Biddeford; and nieces Hannah and Gabriella Smith; along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A visitation will be held Saturday, June 5 at Hope Memorial Chapel from 11 to 1 p.m. with services being held at 1 p.m. and a private graveside service to follow at a later date.
