Janet “JJ” Jellison Spiller

LISBON – Janet “JJ” Jellison Spiller passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at Central Maine Medical Center, in Lewiston, Maine, after a brief illness.

The daughter of the late Robert W. Jellison and the late Elizabeth (Tomilson) Jellison, Janet was born on Jan. 8, 1958. She was raised in Kennebunk, Maine, and was a 1976 graduate of Kennebunk High School. Decades later, Janet returned to school and received an Associate Degree in Psychology at the University of Maine. After High School, Janet sold advertising for WBLM radio and sold automobiles for Pape Chevrolet. Janet then found a long career in the Insurance industry, most recently working for CBU Advantage n Hallowell, Maine.

Janet resided the majority of her adult life in Lyman, Maine, raising her three children. She was deeply involved in teaching Sunday School as well as being a Girl Scout Leader, Little League Coach and a Massabesic Soccer Coach. Her primary passion was her painting.

Janet was predeceased by her sister Carol Yount in 2017.

She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Spiller of Washtucna, Washington, son, Shawn Spiller of Saco, Maine and Seth Spiller of Gorham, Maine.

Janet is also survived by her brother, David Jellison of Black Diamond, Washington, as well as nieces and nephews.

Missing Janet probably the most is her constant companion her Bishon Frise, Maddie.

A celebration of Janet’s life will be held at a later date.

Arrangements made by Cremation of Southern Maine/Conroy Tully.
