I’m supporting David Craig for Town Council in Yarmouth because he has shown great leadership on issues important to me and other seniors.
David has always been very supportive of our efforts to make Yarmouth a more age-friendly community. He was instrumental in bringing the STAY (Senior Tax Assistance Yarmouth) program to town and supported the expansion of benefits several years ago.
David also assisted with the creation of Yarmouth’s SMAA (Southern Maine Agency on Aging) resource specialist position, which helps seniors take advantage of resources to allow them to stay in their homes.
I heartily endorse David Craig as a councilor who wants Yarmouth to be a welcoming community for all ages.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
