My name is Krista Chappell. I am writing to ask for the support of Gray voters for Town Council on June 8.
I’ve been a resident of Gray for over a decade and am proud to call Maine my home. It was an honor to serve as chair of Gray’s Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee, a plan overwhelmingly approved in November.
I’m committed to maintaining the small-town qualities and natural resources that make Gray special. But I also have a passion to see Gray thrive, to grow responsibly, with thoughtful spaces for our community to connect. As chair, I heard a range of perspectives as we charted our town’s vision. We saw the goodness of Gray and also the potential. I will work hard to be a listener and an advocate for my home and yours.
Can I count on your vote for Town Council on June 8?

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
