Singer, songwriter and pianist Genevieve Stokes released her debut EP, “Swimming Lessons,”  in March, a particularly huge deal because it’s on the Atlantic Records label. Stokes released the video for the song “Surface Tension” from “Swimming Lessons” in early February, and it has since been viewed almost 185,000 times.

Yesterday, Stokes, who lives in Falmouth, released a video for another track from “Swimming Lessons” called “Running Away.” Stokes collaborated with her friend Abbie Petrie who directed the clip.

“Running Away” is another example of Stokes’ tremendous vocals, and the video’s visuals make it all the more compelling.
