This year’s Master Gardener Plant Sale in Cumberland County will be a hybrid event, with advance online ordering beginning Sunday, May 9.
Customers will have until May 26 to place orders for hundreds of locally grown vegetables, flowers, herbs, native plants and perennials. All proceeds support University of Maine Cooperative Extension projects across Cumberland County, including demonstration gardens, Maine Harvest for Hunger initiatives, therapeutic gardens and school gardens.
Orders can be placed at extension.umaine.edu/cumberland/master-gardener-plant-sale/. In-person pick-up will be available over Memorial Day weekend from May 28 to June 1 at Village Park in Falmouth. Master Gardener volunteers will help load purchases and answer questions.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
