Voters can now request absentee ballots for the June 8 election of nine charter commission members and the vote on the 2021-2022 Portland school budget. The last day to request an absentee ballot is June 4.
They can be requested through a new online request form, by calling the City Clerk’s office at 874-8677 between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, emailing elections@portlandmaine.gov or by mailing a completed absentee ballot application to the City Clerk’s Office at 389 Congress St., Portland ME 04101.
In-person early absentee voting will begin in May once the ballots have arrived. During the election, the city’s 11 polling locations will be open for in-person voting between 7 a.m.. and 8 p.m. To find your polling place, visit the city clerk’s page..
All ballots must be returned no later than 8 p.m. on June 8.
