Free drive-thru shredding
Saco & Biddeford Savings, 2 Hannaford Drive, in Westbrook is sponsoring a drive-thru shredding opportunity 8 a.m. to noon May 22 to help the public avoid identity theft. Two boxes per household are allowed.
Those participating are asked to remain in their vehicles as team members will handle the shredding.
Items to be shredded include: bank information and canceled checks, obsolete invoices, outdated bills, letters, envelopes, ledgers, mortgage and loan information, clean paper, and medical information.
Items not acceptable for shredding include but are not limited to: accordion folders, cardboard and cardboard boxes, dark brown-colored
folders, electronics, magazines, newsprints, plastic, and X-rays.

The Maine CDC reported that Westbrook had 1,312 probable and confirmed cases as of April 18 in the city with a population of 19,778.

The American Journal on April 28 reported that Chris Trepanier of Falmouth Street had been bitten by a neighbor’s dog. Westbrook Police Patrolman Mike Sanphy informed the neighbor about the incident.
