Gilbert T. Labrecque
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Gilbert T. Labrecque “Gil” passed away unexpectedly on April 14, 2021 in St. Petersburg, Fla. at Bay Care Medical Center.
Gil was born in Westbrook on Feb. 15, 1950, son of Theodore and Ruth (Moreau) Labrecque. After graduating from Gorham High School in 1968, he joined the Air National Guard.
Gil bought and managed an IGA store in Lisbon Falls. After selling the store, he traveled cross country with his then wife, Nicole. They then settled in Concord, N.H. and raised their three youngest children, then moved to Kennebunk until he retired. After retiring, Gil moved to Florida.
Gil was a huge fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Bruins. He loved fishing and hunting with his brothers at Moosehead Lake.
Gil is survived by his children Jennifer Swajger, Liane Falk, Robert Labrecque and Dana Labrecque and their families; and siblings Donald, Dick, Rudy Labrecque and Rachel Fedorczyk and their families. He is also survived by many other family members; and his long-time partner, Mary Williams.
A memorial will be held at Moosehead Lake with close family at a later time.
Donations in his memory may be made to critical care at Bay Care Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Fla.
