Donald Brann
NORTH PORT, Fla. – Retired USAF TSgt. Donald Brann, of North Port, Fla., passed away on April 21, 2021. He was born on Nov. 17, 1928 in Portland. Donald was formerly from Cumberland, Alvarado, Texas, and Tecumseh, Okla.
Donald served our country for 30 years in the United States Air Force. He was a Technical Sergeant and served during WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and the Cold War. He was a volunteer firefighter for the West Cumberland, Maine Fire Department for over 20 years. He was also a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) and the North American Family Campus Association (NAFCA).
He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy Stackhouse Brann; remarried for 15 years, Joyce Grooms Brann; parents, Winfred Enfield Brann and Miriam Camille Bickford Brann; brother, Albert Brann.
Donald is survived by his daughters, Darlene Heald (Donald Bourgeois) of Maine and Deborah (Kevin) Bickford of Florida; brother, Ken Brann of Maine; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service with Air Force Military Honors will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 26 at Farley Funeral Home, 5900 South Biscayne Drive, North Port, Fla. Interment will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 28 at Glenwood Cemetery in Alvarado, Texas.
