CUMBERLAND — Brady Nolin pitched a no-hitter in his first varsity start as Greely shut out Fryeburg Academy 1-0 Tuesday in baseball.
Nolin struck out eight and walked two for the Rangers (1-1) .
Cooper Neleski singled to open the bottom of the seventh and pinch-runner Sam Almy scored.
The Hawks were playing their first game.
MARSHWOOD, SANFORD SPLIT: TJ Curley hit an RBI single to drive in Jake Lamontagne in the bottom of the 13th as the Spartans (1-2) beat the Hawks (1-2) 3-2 to take Game 1 of a doubleheader at Sanford.
Lamontagne was 3 for 4 and scored twice to lead Sanford.
Marshwood took control with three runs in the top of the third and took Game 2 7-3 to salvage a split of the doubleheader.
Chase Stanly was 3 for 5 to lead the Hawks.
Curley finished with four hits in the two games for the Spartans.
FALMOUTH 4, WESTBROOK 1: Patrick Gill had a two-out RBI single and later scored on a wild pitch for the Yachtsmen in the bottom of the third inning as they downed the Blue Blazes in an opener at Falmouth.
Bennett Smith went the distance for Falmouth, allowing a run on three hits, fanning five and walking one.
OLD ORCHARD BEACH, SACOPEE VALLEY SPLIT: Nolan Rice lined an RBI single to give the Seagulls (1-1) the lead for good in the top of the seventh as they edged the Hawks (1-1) 6-5 to secure a split of a doubleheader at Hiram.
Tristan Croteau and Carson Black each had a single and double for Sacopee Valley, and James Ritter and Caleb Bacchiano both added two hits.
Carson Black had a two-run blast in the bottom of the first to lead the Hawks took the opener, 10-1.
Kaleb Cox had two hits for Sacopee Valley.
SOFTBALL
SACOPEE VALLEY SWEEPS OLD ORCHARD BEACH: Keira Greene line a two-run double to break a 5-5 tie and Laykn Hink followed with a two-run double as the Hawks (3-0) rolled to a 9-5 victory over the Seagulls (0-2) and secure a sweep at Hiram.
Sacopee Valley sent 13 batters to the plate and scored eight runs as it won the opener, 14-2.
Abby Sanborn had four hits to fuel the 15-hit attack, and Lindsey Fox added three hits.
Jessi Lavigne had an RBI double for Old Orchard Beach in Game 1.
WINDHAM 9, FALMOUTH 0: Brooke Gerry gave up one hit over four innings, striking out 10 batters to lead the Eagles (1-0) past the Yachtsmen (0-1) at Windham.
Gerry and Jaydn Kimball had three hits and two RBI each. Ella Wilcox struck out six over three innings in relief.
FRYEBURG ACADEMY 7, GREELY 0: Amelia DeSanctis pitched a three-hitter with 13 strikeouts and two walks, and had an RBI double as the Raiders (1-0) cruised to a win over the Rangers (0-2) at Cumberland.
Katy McIntyre chipped in with a three-run double.

GIRLS’ LACROSSE
MARSHWOOD 14, NOBLE 2: Meagan Wentworth had four goals and two assists, and Serafina Melino had three goals and one assist as the Hawks (1-0) cruised past the Knights (0-1) at South Berwick.
Ella Manero, Eva Moreland and Isabelle Young all scored two goals apiece. Lily Dupree made nine saves.
Haley Martel scored both goals for Noble.
GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER/POLAND 13, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 5: Andrea Smith scored eight goals for the Patriots (1-0) as they cruised past the Raiders (0-2) at Gray.
Ellie Steele had two goals, three assists and gathered up 18 ground balls for Gray-New Gloucester/Poland, and Makenna Powell added two goals and Ashlehy Wilson also scored.
Hope Duffy had three goals for Fryeburg Academy.
KENNEBUNK 6, CAPE ELIZABETH 2: Lily Schwartzman and Ruby Sliwkowski both scored four goals to lead Kennebunk at Cape Elizabeth.
The Rams (1-0), who led 6-1 at halftime, also got two goals and three assists from Emily Archibald.
The Capers (0-2) got both goals from Charlotte Graham.
BOYS’ LACROSSE
CHEVERUS 15, DEERING 14: Will Haley had eight goals and two assists to power the Stags over the Rams in an opener at Portland.
Julian Lamontagne had four goals and four assists for Cheverus, and Nico Nason added two goals and three assists.
Aiden Foss made 12 saves for Deering, and Matthew Belantoni stopped 12 shots for the Stags.
PORTLAND 17, WESTBROOK 1: Sam Gerber scored six goals to power the Bulldogs as they built a 12-0 halftime lead and easily handled the Blue Blazes in an opener at Fitzpatrick Stadium.
Drew Leonard and Max Cheever each had hat tricks for Portland, Tobey MacEachern had two goals and four assists, and Joe Pike, Ben Littell and Max Civiello each added goals.
