Maine Street Steak & Oyster, 148 Maine St., Brunswick, has added Sunday brunch, which will be served from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. A featured menu item is Fried Oyster Benedict on a jalapeño biscuit for $18. The smoked salmon toast ($16) also sounds delicious. Of course, the locally farmed oysters are shucked right at the raw bar. 844-8275.

Wine Wise Events, based in Portland, is adding more wine sail and wine trip events to its lineup for 2021. The wine sails are aboard the tall ship Frances out of Portland Harbor. The events last two hours and include food from locally acclaimed chefs and wines curated by Erica Archer, owner of Wine Wise Events. Seating is limited and widely spaced following CDC guidelines.

Here are a few upcoming sails, all of which are from 1-3 p.m.:

• July 18, Chefs Shanna and Brian O’Hea of Academie Brasserie at the Kennebunk Inn.

• July 25, Chefs from Chaval and wines from South Africa.

• Aug. 22, Chef Sansonetti of Chaval and Spanish wines.

Wine region trips including Napa and Sonoma in California, Willamette Valley, Oregon and France. Wine sails run $145/person and tickets, which sell out fast, can be purchased at winewiseevents.

Pigeons is a new casual French bistro opening May 12 at 59 Washington Ave., Portland, in the same space as Maine & Loire Wine Shop. Yes, these are the same owners of the former Drifter’s Wife, Peter and Orenda Hale. The hours are noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and the menu features Nicoise Salad ($15), French Onion Soup ($8), crudite ($9) and a burger ($15), classic cocktails and natural wines. 805-1336.

Pints on the Pier at the Maine Maritime Museum is back and will be held Sept. 11 from 4-7:30 p.m. at 243 Washington St., Bath. Tickets range from $10 for a designated driver to $35 at eventbrite.com.

April 23 is the new release of Maine Beer Company’s Dinner, their original Double India Pale Ale. The release is in bottles at 11 a.m. at MBC at 525 U.S. Route 1, Freeport.
