The New Gloucester Selectboard has accepted the resignation of Town Planner Scott Hastings, who joined the town in 2017.
Hastings’ last day on the job is April 15.
“I have enjoyed my time with the town and have found the people here a pleasure to work with,” Hastings wrote in his resignation letter. “This town is active and engaged with planning for its future and that has made it a challenging and rewarding place to be a planner.”
Also at the April 7 meeting, the select board affirmed Deputy Town Clerk Sharlene Myers as acting town manager. Myers previously served as acting town manager in 2019. Former Town Manager Brenda Fox-Howard’s last day was April 2. The select board accepted her resignation earlier this year.
The board voted March 1 to approve a $4,000 contract with labor and employment consultant John McGough of Portland law firm Norman Hanson and DeTroy to conduct the search for a permanent town manager.
