FALMOUTH — Flagship Premium Cinemas will reopen its Falmouth location March 5, with tickets to first showings already online.
Flagship Premium Cinemas, located in the Falmouth Shopping Center at 206 U.S. Route 1, will be the third location in the state to reopen since closures last year due to the pandemic. The Waterville and Auburn locations have already opened their doors to theater-goers. Flagship has 18 locations, with six theaters in Maine.
“We tried to open it at the beginning of September, but people weren’t ready to come out, we weren’t getting enough attendance so we wanted to wait for the right time,” Director of Operations Andrew Poore said.
The theater requires customers to follow all CDC guidelines and is taking reservations for private rental packages as well. For more information, email info@flagshipcinemas.com.
“We are following CDC guidelines and taking that very seriously,” Poore said. “Now, the hardest part now is having people actually know we are open.”

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
