Westbrook City Hall will be closed until March 1 after two employees there tested positive for COVID-19, the city said Saturday afternoon.

“Our primary concern is the health and safety of our employees and the members of the public who interact with our team while conducting business at City Hall,” said a statement from Assistant City Administrator and City Clerk Angela Holmes. She said the City Council meeting scheduled for Monday has been canceled and will be rescheduled.

City Hall will undergo a “deep cleaning” this weekend, and all City Hall staff will receive COVID-19 testing, Holmes said.

The city is expected to provide further updates on city services while City Hall is closed at westbrookmaine.com/733/City-Hall-Closure.
