WESTBROOK— Graduation ceremonies for the Westbrook High School class of 2021 will be held at Rock Row, Superintendent Peter Lancia said.
This year’s commencement exercises will be much like last year’s socially distanced event, likely with a motorcade of graduates and their families through Westbrook to Rock Row for the ceremony and fireworks. High school officials are working with Rock Row to allow students to cross a stage to accept their diplomas while following pandemic guidelines. Last year, pre-recorded videos were played showing students crossing a stage at the school.
“The kids really loved it last year, so we are hoping to make it even bigger,” Lancia said.
More details will be announced in coming weeks.
“We have some things in the works,” Lancia said. “It is almost like Rock Row has become its own graduation tradition.”
