SAD 6 nomination papers available
Nomination papers are available for a three-year term on the SAD 6 Board of Directors with a Buxton residency required.
The expiring Buxton term is that of Ellen DeCotiis. The election will be held June 8.
Papers are available at Buxton Town Hall, 185 Portland Road, or at the SAD 6 Central Office, 94 Main St., Buxton.
Completed nomination papers must be filed with the registrar of voters at Town Hall by 2 p.m. March 9. Candidates are responsible delivering their certified papers to Central Office by 4 p.m. March 25.

Buxton COVID-19 cases rising
The Maine CDC reports 213 probable and confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Buxton through Jan. 24. The number rose by 19 from 194 through Jan. 17. The CDC pegs the Buxton population at 8,442.
