American officials have voiced concern about further attacks since the Jan. 7 ballistic missile strikes in Iraq resulted in a spate of traumatic brain injuries.

So far, 303 people are dead in China and one in the Philippines, plus another 14,557 cases of the illness are confirmed.

Officials said they were uncertain of any connection between the two deaths, or between their deaths and their work in environmental conservation.
