CAPE ELIZABETH — Cape Elizabeth officials have published frequently asked questions about the 2020 census on the town website after meeting with U.S. Census Bureau Partnership Specialists.
Beginning mid-March 2020, residents will receive a notice in the mail to complete the census online, by phone or by mail. The Census Bureau will send reminders in subsequent weeks, but will follow up in person with residents who do not complete the census by May.
For more information, contact Clinton Swett, Cape Elizabeth tax assessor, at 799-1619 or clinton.swett@capeelizabeth.org, or Mitchell Stein, partnership specialist, Field Division/New York Regional Census Center, at 317-3831 or mitchell.h.stein@2020census.gov.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
