The Durham Historic District Commission is an antique appraisal event in Durham 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 9 in the cafeteria of the Durham Community School. The event will raise funds to restore the he Union Church, which was built in 1835 and served as Durham’s Town Hall for many years. The building needs repair
The appraiser for this event is Daniel Buck Soules, who was an appraiser for 11 years on the popular TV show “Antiques Roadshow.” Limit of three items, no stamps or firearms. Appraisal of one item will cost $10; three $25. Appointments can be made by calling (207) 353-6217. Walk-ins are welcome.
