LISBON — Police have released the names of five people involved in a two-car crash that shut down Route 196 for several hours Wednesday afternoon.

A Subaru Forester that was traveling east on Route 196 appears to have crossed the centerline into oncoming traffic and collided with a Chrysler van, according to police.

The driver of the Subaru, 32-year-old Isaac Moody of Kingfield, remains at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston with what police called a lower-body injury. A hospital spokesperson said Moody’s family has requested the hospital not release any information about his condition.

Police say Moody has been charged with operating a motor vehicle after suspension.

A passenger in the Subaru, 29-year-old Anisha Gagnon of Temple, was airlifted from the crash to CMMC Wednesday. She was listed in critical condition Thursday according to a hospital spokesperson.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, according to Lisbon Police Chief Marc Hagan.
