Voters across the Lakes Region will head to the polls on Tuesday, Nov. 5, to cast their ballots for candidates for town council and selectboard, as well as referendum questions. There are also two statewide questions on the ballot.
Question 1 is a bond question that asks voters if they favor issuing a $105 million general fund bond to improve highways, bridges and multimodal facilities.
Question 2 is a constitutional amendment that asks voters if they favor amending the state’s Constitution to allow persons with disabilities to sign petitions in an alternative manner.
BRIDGTON
Voting will take place from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Town Hall at 26 North High St.
Residents will vote on three local questions. The first asks whether voters would like to pass Proposed Land Use Ordinance Amendments designed to “promote and conserve the general health, safety and welfare of the inhabitants and to encourage compatible land uses.” The second question asks whether voters would like to repeal the town’s Affordable Housing Local Preference Ordinance. The third asks whether to adopt an Adult-Use Marijuana Ordinance.
CASCO
The Casco Community Center, 940 Meadow Road, will be open for voting from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
GRAY
Residents will cast their ballots at Newbegin Community Center in the Henry Pennell Municipal Complex at 22 Main St. Polls will open at 6 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.
NAPLES
Voting will take place from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Town Hall Gym, 15 Village Green Lane.
Candidates for the remainder of a three-year seat on the Selectboard are Caleb Humphrey, Rick Paraschak and Patty Raitto.
NEW GLOUCESTER
Polls at the fire station, 611 Lewiston Road, will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
RAYMOND
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Jordan-Small Middle School Gym, 434 Webbs Mills Road.
SEBAGO
The town office, 406 Bridgton Road, will be open to voters from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Residents will also vote on a school referendum warrant that will amend the school budget to correct an error.
STANDISH
Residents can vote from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Municipal Office, 175 Northeast Road.
They will also vote on a referendum question regarding the issuance of up to $150,000 in bonds to finance the conversion from high-pressure sodium streetlights to LED streetlights with smart controls.
WINDHAM
Residents can cast their ballots from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the auxiliary gym at Windham High School, 406 Gray Road.
Candidates for the three-year At-Large Town Council seat are David Douglass and incumbent Bob Muir. Candidates for the three-year South District Town Council seat are incumbent Donna Chapman, Nick Kalogerakis and Gartay Yekeh.
