SOUTH PARIS – Wyley Fitzpatrick scored early in the second half to lift the Mt. Ararat High School field hockey team to a 1-0 Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference victory over Oxford Hills on Monday.
Hannah Huston and Brea Holtet made key passes leading to the game-winning goal off a penalty corner.
Goaltender Emma Lapreziosa had 12 saves as the Eagles improved to 7-2 and hosts Belfast on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. Gabby Head and Annie Wilkins also added a defensive save.

The Greyhounds fell to 1-9 in Mountain Valley Conference action despite a dozen saves from goaltender Becky Budesheim.
Kailey Hackett tallied a pair of goals for the Cougars (7-2), while Taylor Bryant and Grace Timberlake each picked up a goal. Page Lueders, Alexa Perreault and Alyvia Perreault had one assist apiece.
Dirigo goaltender Allie Dyke made two saves.
Lisbon visits Telstar on Friday at 3:30 p.m.
