Kathryn Baker Erwin

BRUNSWICK – Kathy Erwin, beloved sister, sister-in-law, aunt and dog aunt, and friend to many, passed away peacefully on Sept. 19, 2019 with her family surrounding her with love. It was far too soon!
Born Sept. 22, 1952, Kathy was a life-long New Englander. She spent her years between Martha’s Vineyard and Maine, while vacationing in Florida. Kathy was a great traveler and could always find the best places to eat in any state.
She was fiercely independent and opinionated and would give anybody a run for their money discussing the Patriots, Red Sox, or politics. She was extremely generous to all around her. For years, she managed restaurants, B&Bs, and hotels throughout New England, and finally settled in Brunswick where she lived next to her great neighbors, Ellie and Scott.
Kathy was a breast cancer and stroke survivor, and beat all the odds to remain independent. She had a quirky sense of humor and always kept us guessing.
She was devoted to family, sisters Paige and Ruth, brother-in-law of all brothers-in-law, Steve Russell; and her incredible nephews, Adam and Seth Russell. Although she would say her relatives also included our dogs, Tayte and Rowdy, who spent countless hours with her.
