ARUNDEL — The Pink Tie Party returns to beautiful Vinegar Hill Music Theater for a festive evening of creative fare and cocktails, live music and pink attire to raise money for a great cause: to generate awareness and funds to prevent and fight cancer here in Maine.
“Last year we were thrilled to raise over $80,000 through the generosity of our sponsors and attendees” said event organizer Lana Wescott. “Our guests are in for another fun evening of delicious food, terrific auction items, and fabulous entertainment. We hope to exceed $80,000 this year as we have expanded our efforts this year to support The Maine Cancer Foundation, Ben’s Fight, Foundation4Love, The Dempsey Center and Maine Pediatric Cancer Program.”
Silent auction items will feature a wellness package from Quest Fitness, Luxury Box at a Vinegar Hill Music Theatre Performance, Spa Package from Cottage Breeze Day Spa as well as an array of gift certificates and experiences from hotels, restaurants, sporting events and more. The live auction highlights include a week long cottage rental at Owls Head, two airline tickets to travel anywhere in the world and new this year a kitchen design and makeover from Thomas& Lord and Distinctive Tile. This year’s event will also include a raffle for a sporty pink scooter and our stylish Pink boutique.
Kennebunkport’s popular The Dock Squares will pack the dance floor once again, and guests can sample hors d’oeuvres from our guest chefs from The Boathouse, Shannon Bard Events, The Nonantum, and Eventide. Batson River Brewing & Distilling will provide spirits and signature Pink Cocktails and Cellar Door Wineries is providing our wine selection. All proceeds will benefit this year’s selected organizations.
The Community of Caring, the Pink Tie Party’s parent 501 C3 is proud to have donated more than $190,000 to benefit families struggling with cancer in Maine during the last three years. Mainers committed to the fight against cancer.
