OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Community members are invited on Thursday night to meet with officials from the Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball, as the league has expressed interest in locating a team in Old Orchard Beach.
A meet and greet will be held with Director of Operation for the Can-Am League Kevin Winn and Greg Lockard, owner of the New Jersey Jackals and the Sussex County Miners at 6 p.m. on Thursday at Jimmy the Greek’s, 215 Saco Ave., Old Orchard Beach.
The Can-Am League is considering making The Ballpark in Old Orchard Beach home to a team in the 2020 season.
Those interested in finding out more information and how they can be involved are invited to attend Thursday night’s event.
