Biddeford takes down Sanford
The Biddeford High boys’ golf team defeated Sanford at Dutch Elm Country Club in Arundel Tuesday afternoon.
Playing nine holes on the par-36 course, the Tigers (3-0) won four of the six individual matches on their way to a team medal of 252. Biddeford’s Brian Perreault had the lowest score of the day, shooting 42.
Sanford (0-3) finished with a team medal of 291, with Zachary Tremblay leading the way, shooting a 53.
Thornton Academy slips past Greely
The Thornton Academy boys’ team won four of the six individual matches to edge Greely at Biddeford-Saco Country Club Tuesday afternoon in Saco.
Tyler Snell and Armand Ouellette tied each shot a 38 on the nine-hole, par-35 course to lead the Trojans (1-1) to a team medal of 202.
Greely’s DJ Kenney finished with a low-medal of 37 to lead the Rangers (1-1) to a score of 206.
