PORTER — Maine State Police say a Parsonsfield man died Wednesday morning when his 2005 Ford Explorer slammed into a tree on Kennard Hill Road.

Dillon St. Pierre, 28, died at the scene, said Maine Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland in a news release issued on Wednesday afternoon.

The crash was reported about 7:30 a.m. by a nearby resident.

McCausland said investigators have not yet been able to determine the cause of the crash,  but believe speed may have been a factor.

Porter, a community in Oxford County near the New Hampshire border, also borders Parsonsfield.
