BRUNSWICK — The eighth annual “Fight Hard 5K” will take place at Edwards Field on Aug. 11.
Race time is 7:45 a.m., with registration between 6:45 and 7:30 a.m.
Race-day registration is $25, and pre-registration and donations can be made online through Aug. 9 at www.runinarace.com/FightHard5k/index.html
The first 150 to register receive a race shirt.
The Fight Hard 5K is a race/walk in memory of Laurie Cockburn Butler, organized by the Cockburn/Butler family.
Fight Hard 5K is a non-profit charitable organization with all net proceeds to benefit the Dean Snell Cancer Foundation (deansnell.org).
The mission of the Dean Snell Cancer Foundation is to provide financial assistance to cancer patients at the New England Cancer Specialists facility in Topsham.
Over the first seven years, the race has raised over $60,000 for the Foundation.
