KENNEBUNK — The Kennebunk Land Trust’s annual ice cream social is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 6 at 5 p.m.

The social will take place at Hope Woods, a 72 acre preserve protected by KLT through a conservation easement with the Hope Cemetery Corporation. Guided walks of the preserve will be available.

Hope Woods is located on Barnard Lane, just off of Route 1 in Kennebunk. There is limited parking at the trail head.

This program is free and open to the public, though donations to KLT are always welcome. This event is sponsored by Big Daddy’s Ice Cream in Wells. Rain date for this event is Wednesday, Aug. 7.

Kennebunk Land Trust, founded in 1972, is a membership powered organization and relies on its members to achieve its mission. KLT has protected over 3,400 acres of land throughout history.
