SACO – A bit of nostalgia will roll into town on Saturday at Saco Main Street’s 10th Annual Classic Car Show.
The show will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in downtown Saco, though participants have been known to come as early as 5 a.m. to get a good spot, said Rob Biggs, executive director of Saco Main Street, the community organization that’s hosting the event.
The show, which has developed a following over the years, draws up to 150 participants from Maine as well as other New England states, said Biggs. The show will feature cars and trucks from 1918 to the muscle car era.
Participants’ cars will line up Main Street from Pepperell Square to Cross Street, parked diagonal on the west side and parallel parked on the east side. Main Street will remain open to traffic during the show, said Biggs.
There will be prizes awarded in 12 categories. A DJ will play classic music and food will be available at local businesses.
The show is free for spectators. Parking is available on side streets and at the train station.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
