Most municipalities across York County and statewide are casting validation ballots on school referendums – and some on other matters, like choosing a selectman or two for the coming fiscal year, or voting on a municipal warrant. At 8 a.m. in Waterboro, one hour after the polls opened in that community, voting was light, but poll watchers predicted the pace would pick up as people stopped by after finishing work for the day.
