Mid Coast Hospital Auxiliary announced that over $57,600 was raised at the annual three-day Grand and Glorious Yard Sale held May 17-19 at Merrymeeting Plaza in Brunswick.
The success of the Yard Sale followed on the heels of the Auxiliary Book Sale, which raised almost $3,500.
“Every year the Mid Coast Hospital Auxiliary is blown away by the incredible level of generosity displayed at these events,” said Auxiliary President Joyce Morgan in a news release. “Paired with the tireless work of the Auxiliary and over 200 talented volunteers, the community’s support is instrumental in our fundraising success.”
The annual yard sale is the Mid Coast Auxiliary’s signature event to raise money for the Herb Paris Health Career Scholarship Fund, and also supports a financial pledge to critical projects at Mid Coast Hospital. All proceeds raised from the Book Sale also fund the scholarship and hospital projects.
“The yard sale proves to be a phenomenal triumph for our organization every year, thanks to the hard work and enthusiasm of so many,” Lois Skillingspresident and CEO of Mid Coast–Parkview Health, stated. “This fundraising effort plays a crucial part in the completion of major projects at Mid Coast Hospital, and we are so appreciative to the Mid Coast Hospital Auxiliary, volunteers, and attendees for supporting our mission to care for the health of our community.”
