Editor,
Is a traffic light needed at the corner of Route 1 and Flag Pond Road because someday something might be built there maybe?
The city of Saco has people who can speculate the future. Do they have anyone who can fix the past, what is behind the city?
Try a traffic study of Industrial Park Road, Route 112, Garfield Street and the Jenkins Road area.
Does someone think this area is OK and runs smoothly for traffic? If they do they’re not from Saco, or York County or the state of Maine.
They’re from far away and have no clue about this congested area.
If you can hire people to look ahead, maybe hire some to fix the mess in this area.
Save the money on a traffic study of this area. It’s a well-known cluster.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
