VASSALBORO – Reid F. Wyman, 76, passed away peacefully after a short struggle with cancer at Togus Springs Hospice Care on April 17, 2019.

He was born on May 2, 1942, in Bath, the son of Leroy and Evelyn (Gilliam) Wyman. He attended Westpoint schools. Reid served honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam war and earned the rank of Sargent E-5. He worked for many years for his brother at the Westpoint Wharf. He loved the sea.

He was predeceased by his parents Leroy and Evelyn Wyman; two sisters, Georgia Wright and Della Drain, and a brother James Wyman; and his wife’s parents Robert Warner and Louise Friis.

Reid is survived by his wife of 35 years Beverly (Warner) Wyman, two brothers Phillip (Janet) and Bruce (Ellen) Wyman, three sisters, May Gilliam, Marsha (Roger) Dalton, all of Phippsburg, and Donna Neilson of Brunswick, and a sister-in-law Patricia Richards of Lewiston. Reid is also survived by four children, Dorothy (Mike) Treadwell, Rhonda Real, Paula Real, Lisa (Scott) Reynard; six grandchildren Dale, Danny, Shawn, Amanda, Amber, and Kayla; 11 great-grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews. He enjoyed fishing, going out to eat, and especially his family. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

There will be a celebration of life at 1 p.m. at the Phippsburg Sportsmen’s Club on May 18, 2019. All are welcome.
