OXFORD — The body of a local man missing since April 15 was found Saturday in woods near the Thompson Lake causeway on Route 121, Oxford Police Chief Micheal Ward said Tuesday.
Eric Berube, 43, was last seen on Gore Road in Oxford heading toward Otisfield, according to police.
Ward said the man’s body was found by a fisherman in woods near the intersection of Route 121 and Greeley Brook Road. The area is less than a mile from where Berube was last seen, the chief said.
“There were no signs of foul play,” Ward said.
Berube resided off Coldwater Brook Road.
An investigation into his death is ongoing, and police are expecting a medical examiner’s report in the next 30 days, the chief said.
