BIDDEFORD, Maine – The Biddeford Education Foundation will host a spaghetti dinner from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 23 to support the new Biddeford High School Marching Band.

The dinner will feature rolls and salad donated by Texas Roadhouse, spaghetti and meatballs donated by Hannaford, Market Basket, and Shaw’s. The event will be held in the Biddeford High School Cafeteria with music played by the Alumni Band from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

“This spaghetti dinner is just one of the many fundraisers to assist in raising the $30,000 needed to resurrect a Marching Band program,” said Biddeford Education Foundation President Karen Chasse.  “We have the commemorative pillows on sale, continue to see success in our annual Pillars of Pride fundraiser and will be the recipient of this year’s Cruise for a Cause in August. The Foundation appreciates the individual and business donors, as well as the volunteers, who have contributed to turn this vision into reality.”

Tickets are now on sale for $7 in advance at Brady’s Screenprint in Biddeford, on Biddeford School Department’s Facebook Page, or at Eventbrite (https://bit.ly/2OngRvB). Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $10 each; kids under the age of 5 are free.

The Biddeford Public School Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created to manage and distribute funds raised to enrich the educational experience for the students of Biddeford.  Through partnerships with the community and district, the foundation will provide resources outside the normal school budget to augment teaching, encourage academic excellence, and maximize opportunities for students Pre-K through Grade 12.
