Editor,

Regarding Gene Lyons’ column on April 3, Mr. Lyons is suffering from a severe case of TDS.  (Trump Derangement Syndrome)  His accusations are chockfull of suppositions and assumptions based on misstatements of fact laced with huge stretches of illogic and imagination.
For example, he states:
“His campaign knew all about Russian hacks of DNC emails; that much has been proven beyond a doubt.”
Unless memory fails, those “hacks” were published by WIKILEAKS whose founder has publicly stated that the source was NOT Russian.  Furthermore, he strongly hinted that the source was a member of the HRC Campaign or the DNC!
Finally, Mr. Lyons omitted any mention of the Obama Administration’s feeble-to-nonexistent efforts to counter foreign interference during the 2016 election season.  Weren’t they responsible for election security during that period?  (Incidentally, President Obama openly interfered in Israel’s elections in a failed attempt to prevent Netanyahu’s re-election.)
Mr. Lyons should seek counseling for his delusions and derangement.  Russian attempts at interference had absolutely no influence on the outcome of the 2016 election.  HRC lost because she was a poor candidate who ran a lazy campaign.
