Saco Fire Department celebrated the retirement of Lt. Wayne Hanson on Sunday. Hanson began his career with Saco as a junior firefighter and was a full-time firefighter for 37 years. Hanson’s father, Charlie, served in the fire department as a deputy chief and retired in 1989 after 34 years of service.
