KENNEBUNKPORT – The Seashore Trolley Museum is looking for volunteers to help with spring cleaning efforts to spruce up the museum’s grounds, buildings and trolleys before opening day on May 4.

Individuals, families, businesses, service organizations, and youth groups are encouraged to get involved and museum officials say it’s a great team-building opportunity for your group.

Volunteers are needed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily on Saturday, March 30 through Friday, April 5, and on Monday, April 15 through Saturday, April 20. Lunch will be provided for volunteers and start and end times are flexible to meet the needs of individuals and groups interested in helping, but unable to commit to a full day.

Types of projects help is needed with include sweeping and raking trolley carbarns, giving trolleys a car wash, brush cleanup, painting display areas, placing exhibits, gardening, landscaping and more.

Museum volunteers and staff will work alongside the community volunteers to ensure a fun experience and while most help is needed with outside tasks, projects inside the Museum Visitors Center will be completed on rainy or chilly days.
